Description
To mark the start of the school year, Cogolin’s sports clubs are coming together for an afternoon to introduce as many people as possible to their sports.
Children and families are invited to learn about, try out, and watch demonstrations of a wide variety of sports.
On the schedule: 1:00 p.m.: Doors open and speeches by elected officials at the COSEC 1:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.: Introductions, try-outs, and presentations by sports clubs 2:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.: Demonstrations by sports clubs on the town hall square
Activities are spread across all venues: The COSEC features badminton, volleyball, handball, fencing, gymnastics, judo, karate, and dance. Gymnasium B hosts rhythmic gymnastics, kempo, archery, krav maga, taekwondo, yoga, dance, weightlifting, and music. The stadiums are dedicated to rugby, soccer, tennis, model building, boating, motocross, and pétanque. The Cauquière Hall hosts table tennis.
For younger children, a sports challenge is available: for each activity they complete, kids get their sports passport stamped and leave with goodies.
Refreshment stands at the COSEC and the stadiums; a dessert food truck at the COSEC.
