It is in the heart of winter that mimosas bloom each year, their ephemeral beauty illuminates the landscape!

A little history !
Mimosas seem to have always been an integral part of the Mediterranean maquis. However, originating from faraway lands such as Australia, Africa and Chile, they were introduced in the 19th century, first for their scent and then for botanical interest.
Mimosas have conquered our gardens and coastlines. Acacia dealbata, commonly called mimosa, is particularly prolific, systematically growing back from the roots. Unlike other species, it offers a great diversity of foliage, shapes and sizes, with characteristic yellow pompom flowers.
Like every winter, the Australian garden at Domaine du Rayol shines with numerous mimosas in bloom!
The Domaine du Rayol is offering tours on the theme of mimosas: a real world tour to meet the forty species that make up Le Jardin des Méditerranées.
