Its shiny patina and fine grain are reminiscent of snakeskin. It is mainly used as an ornamental stone.<br \/>\n&#8211; Bubbly basalt is a grey lava stone that forms the geological substratum of the village. It comes from a volcanic flow dating back over 5 million years.
