Description
The Château welcomes the works of two painters from complementary worlds, united by a shared passion for materials and color.
Philippe Laborde, a former florist turned contemporary painter, develops his work at the crossroads of plants and abstraction. Using a knife, he composes vivid colors to capture the light on canvas.
Rodrigue Hornez, originally from the Nord region of France, trained at the Douai Art School and the Atelier Duhem. His contemporary figurative oil paintings combine realism and contrast in landscapes, portraits and scenes of life. Brushes and knives are used in thick, energetic gestures.
