La Bravade Saint Clément

Description

The Bravade de Saint-Clément is an old tradition in the village of La Garde-Freinet. The patron saint of the parish, Saint-Clément, is celebrated every year to commemorate the transfer of the saint's relics to the church in La Garde-Freinet.

Saturday, May 2nd:
With the participation of the fife and drum band
4:00 pm: Opening of the 43rd bravade - Place de la Mairie
5:30pm: Ceremony at the St Clément stele
6:00 pm: Mass at Chapelle St Clément

Sunday May 3rd:
8:30am: Place de la Mairie - Departure of the procession following St Clément through the old village
10am: Place Neuve - Salute to the authorities
11am: Bravadeurs high mass, with Escandihado
12pm: Place Neuve - Provencal dances - aperitif.
