Description
The play "They Called Him Bennie Diamond," adapted from the novel by Michael Dichter.
The story takes place in Antwerp in the 1970s. Young Bennie Goodman knows that his father, Moshé, would much rather see him at synagogue than wandering the alleys of the diamond district. But he can’t help himself: prayer bores him, while diamonds fascinate him.
