Clef Verte has developed a free environmental self-assessment tool for tourist accommodation providers wishing to assess their environmental impact and move towards sustainable management of their water and energy resources without committing to a certification scheme.
The first international label dedicated to sustainable tourism for accommodation and restaurants, Green Key distinguishes establishments committed to managing the environment and natural resources.
It rewards professionals who implement concrete actions in favor of sustainable development.
The label is open in particular to:
• Hotels
• Campsites
• Bed & Breakfast
• Cottages
• Tourist residences
• Holiday parks
• Restaurants
– Reduce your environmental impact.
– To meet the expectations of a clientele that is increasingly sensitive to ecological issues.
– Promote your best practices.
– Saving energy and resources.
– Strengthen your image with your partners and visitors.
The candidate establishments meet a reference framework on water, energy and waste management, responsible purchasing, raising awareness among teams and visitors, as well as social responsibility. These various criteria are then checked during an on-site visit by an approved auditor.
The label is valid for 1 year.
Renewal is to be requested every year, with an update of the file and, depending on the schedule, an on-site audit.
