Heritage days 2026 !
For the 43rd edition of European Heritage Days, which will take place on 19 and 20 September, two themes are in the spotlight: ‘Photographic Heritage’ and ‘Heritage at Risk: Revive, Resist, Reimagine’.

In Cogolin
In Cogolin, the town’s heritage is revealed through its iconic crafts, historic sites and this year’s new additions. The carpet workshop, the Rigotti reed factory, the wine estates and the old village invite visitors to discover trades, traditions and a history deeply rooted in the local area.
This year’s festival also showcases new events, including a tour of the Domaine de la Giscle and the Val d’Astier, as well as a philosophy-and-poetry workshop led by Samia Arabi. Screenings of the films ‘Manon des sources’ and ‘La femme du boulanger’ at the Raimu cinema round off the programme, offering another way to discover and celebrate the region’s heritage.
The weekend will also feature a host of tours, exhibitions and events.
In la Garde-Freinet
In La Garde-Freinet, this Saturday, we’re travelling back in time! The Conservatoire Museum is open from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm and then from 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm. A tour of the village and Fort Freinet starts at 9.30 am, offering you the chance to immerse yourself in history. In the afternoon, at 2.30 pm, delve into the fascinating world of bees and beekeeping during a tour of the apiary, complete with a honey tasting!
In Plan de la Tour
Throughout the weekend, set off at your own pace on a self-guided tour of the village of Le Plan de la Tour!
In Rayol-Canadel sur Mer
The Domaine du Rayol welcomes you on 19 and 20 September for European Heritage Days, with guided tours, the chance to explore a new botanical area and several exhibitions.
A weekend to discover or rediscover the Jardin des Méditerranées.
