Description
Verne dam.
Like a blue speck in a green setting, the 8-million-cubic-meter Barrage de la Verne has been supplying drinking water to 10 of the Gulf's communes since 1991. It's also a place for unforgettable walks along the byways that border the dam.
Families of grey herons and cormorants have settled here.
Fishing, swimming and boating are forbidden on the lake, but the scenery remains beautiful.
