Exposition Le Fort-Freinet

back to the list

Description

Exhibition of the model of the Fort-Freinet, fortified village from the 12th to the 16th Century

The exhibition reviews the history and development of Fort-Freinet, a former medieval fortified village (castrum), as well as the subject of the Saracens, whose tradition had made the site their Provençal landmark.
Ceramics and other common objects found during archaeological excavations are on display. A model of Fort-Freinet gives an idea of its organisation.
